The nappy inserts are made from high-quality and absorbent materials. They typically made of bamboo, hemp and/or cotton, with some containing an internal layer of microfibre for added absorbency. The nappy covers are crafted from waterproof PUL (polyurethane laminate) material, ensuring leak-proof protection for your baby.

The $100 security bond ensures the safe return of the nappies and their components. This bond is refunded within 7 days of the nappies being returned in good condition. “Good condition” means that the waterproof PUL hasn’t been damaged, there are no major stains (small stains are acceptable), no permanent alterations and the nappies haven’t been soaked in chemicals. This helps protect the quality of the nappies and ensures they’re ready for the next user. For more infomation, see our T&C’s.

The nappies are sanitized between each client according to the Australian and New Zealand Laundry Standards 4146:2000. These standards ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation between hires.

You should aim to change the nappies roughly every 3 hours.  However, this frequency may vary depending on whether your baby is a heavy wetter. If you notice leaks before the 2-3 hour mark, check the fit according to the fitting guide provided and assess whether the inserts are completely soaked. If leaks persist, please reach out, and I can assist you in determining the cause.

Our packs include cloth nappies designed for daytime use. While they can be used at night, many find it necessary to buy specially designed night nappies with high absorbency. Until you get accustomed to fitting cloth nappies during the day, you might want to use a disposable nappy at night to avoid those 3am changes! We plan to offer night nappy packs in the future. In the meantime, if you’re keen to use cloth nappies round the clock, feel free to contact us and we can help you find the right night nappies for your baby.

Certainly! It’s possible to extend your hire period. If you’d like to extend, simply inform us towards the end of your hire period. The weekly price for the extension will be the same as the price listed on the website. However, since website bundles require a 6-week minimum hire, if you’re extending for less than 6 weeks, I can invoice you for the specific number of extra weeks you require.

Newborn-sized cloth nappies typically fit babies from birth until they weigh between 5.5kg and 8kg, depending on the brand. This usually lasts until around the 2-3 month mark. However, the exact duration can vary based on the baby’s growth rate and body shape.

Using liners with the nappies is recommended as they help prevent stains and make disposing of poop easier. We include microfleece liners in your pack for convenience. You can also make more liners for yourself using polar fleece material from a fabric store, cut to size.

Most nappy inserts and covers have branded labels for easy pairing. Additionally, in the hire pack info pdf, there’s a picture of each nappy with its corresponding inserts. This visual reference makes it simple to match them when preparing nappies after washing.
